Segments
Under Settings, you will find Segments.
Segments are used to create a clear and consistent structure when working with users, teams, and announcements across the platform.
They ensure that all admins and editors work from the same foundation.
There are multiple segment types, such as:
Locations
Departments
Job titles
Employment types
Announcement types
Location
The location tag defines a geographic location — either where a user is based or where a team is located.
Create locations in the system first. Once set up, they can be assigned to:
Users when creating or editing them
Teams when building your structure
Where they are used:
Workforce → Users
Workforce → Teams
Workforce → Workforce Map
Departments
Create and structure your department hierarchy within the organization.
Where they are used:
Workforce → Users
Workforce → Workforce Map
Job titles
Build your organizational structure with custom job titles tailored to your operation.
Job titles are used when creating or editing users.
Where they are used:
Workforce → Users
Employment types
Employment type is assigned per user and provides a clear overview of:
Who is in the system
Their type of employment
Where they are used:

Announcement types
Create custom message types to quickly filter and organize communication within announcements.
